Cannabis and PTSD

New researchers found that PTSD patients may get relief from Cannabis. Cannabis can effect the main psychoactive and non-psychoactive cannabinoids that impact your memory. With so many veterans suffering from PTSD, this is what makes cannabis so beneficial for its patients, and the medical community is determined to get more answers. Scientists have recently found that certain receptors in the brain signal the deactivation of traumatic experiences and memories. There is still research in the works, but it is proven that Cannabis can decrease those fear expressions. What it does, is completely disrupt the horrible memories that they have as short term, to strengthen the long term happy memories. Unfortunately, Cannabis is still federally illegal and until that changes, most of these PTSD patients will have no alternative other than their prescribed medicine from doctors and the horrible side effects.
